Internazional BNL d'Italia: Rafael Nadal Reaches Second Round As Italy's Fabio Fognini Knocks Out Dominic Thiem

Rafael Nadal is making a strong comeback after his shock exit in the quater-finals of Madrid Open last week, as the cruised through to second round of the  Internazional BNL d'Italia In Rome.
The World no. 1 did not struggle at ousting his Bosnia and Herzegovina counterpart Damir Dzumhur in straight sets 6-1 6-0 which last for just 63 minutes.
The Spaniard, 31, says about his opening match at Foro Italico in Rome that, "It was a positive match" and he "went on the court with right intensity...has control, more or less, of a high percentage of the points."
Nadal will face in the second round Canada's no. 1 and last week's Madrid Open semi-finalist Denis Shapovalov.
In another event, Madrid Open finalist Dominic Thiem got knocked out in the first round by Italy's Fabio Fognini in 6-4 1-6 6-3.
