Internazional BNL d'Italia: Fabio Fognini Reaches First Ever Quarter-Finals In Rome After Tough Match With Germany's Peter Gojowczyk

Fabio Fognini has reached his first ever quater-final in Rome after a tough match with Germany's Peter Gojowczyk and managed to get through in straight sets.
The Italian, 30, who ousted Austrian Dominic Thiem in the second round, fought through after trailing behind Gojowczyk by 2:4 at the first set and surged in the lead as the German commited 18 unforced errors which paved the way to the world no. 21 victory in straight sets 6-4 6-4.
Having reached his career fourth Masters 1000 quarter-finals, Fognini is set to face the world no. 1 and seven-time champion Rafael Nadal.
