French Open 2018: Rafael Nadal Beats Brazil's Simone Bolelli On Return To Court To Reach The Second Round
Rafael Nadal has made through to the second round of French Open as he defeated Brazil's Simone Bolelli on their return to the court after it was suspended on Sunday due to rain fall.
World no. 1, 31, was put to the test by the Brazilian who often used slice shot to getting points of the Spaniard, but with experience on his side he saved points at the set tie break to win the set, sealing his victory with a powerful backhand return which Bolelli netted in return.
The top seed defiled dropping a set at the opener in spite of rescheduling due to poor weather condition, and reached the second round as he bids for his 11th title at Roland Garros.
Nadal will face in the second round either Argentina's Guido Pella or Portuguese Joao Sousa.
