Chelsea Put On Hold Construction Of Its New Stadium
Chelsea have reportedly has called off plans to build a £1 billion new stadium with 60,000 audience capacity which the club planned to finish and moved in by 2021.
According to a statement released on the club's official, every activities regarding the new built has been put on hold without stipulating the time the project would be revisited.
"Chelsea Football Club announces today that it has put its new stadium project on hold. No further pre-construction design and planning work will occur," the statement reads.

Given the reason for making a decision to turn its back on the project, its says "the club does not have a timeframe set for reconsideration of its decision. The decision was made due to the current unfavourable investment climate."
The London-based club which finished in fifth place in the Premier league, won the English FA Cup 2017/18 in 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Wembley Stadium.
