'Avengers: Infinity War' Becomes All-Time Highest Grossing Superhero Film In History After Hauling $1.6 Billion Globally
Walt Disney/Marvel's blockbuster film 'Avengers: Infinity War' has become all-time biggest grossing superhero film as it hauled $200M in China over the weekend to bring its gross in the international market to over $1 billion.
In the domestic market, the Russo-brothers directed film topped at the box office for third consecutive weekends, hauling $61.8 million in North America to bring its estimated gross to a total $547.8 million.
As a result, the star-studded movie has so far collected $1.6068 billion and upset record set by "Black Panther ($1,314B)" "Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallow Part 2 ($1.341B)" "Furious 7 ($1.516B) and "Marvel's The Avenger($1.518B)" to become fifth all-time biggest grossing film in history.
In second place at the weekend box office is the Warner Bros. film "Life of the Party" which debuted with domestic gross of $18.5 million in it opening weekend, screening from 3,656 locations, and following in third place is Universal Pictures movie "Breaking In (2018)" which surpassed it projected gross $15 million and collected $16.5 million domestically in it opening weekend.
