Andres Iniesta Hints On Future With Japanese Side Vissel Kobe
FC Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta seemed to have found a place with a Japanese club where he might continue his footballing career after playing his last game with Barcelona on Sunday.
The Spaniard, 34, teased on what he described as his "new home" in a caption to picture he tweeted from inside a private jet with a friend Hiroshi Mikitani - owner of Vissel Kobe.
"Heading to my new home, with my friend," he wrote in the caption with emojis.
The club's owner, Mikitani, also tweeted a picture with the former Barcelona ace before getting on board as he wrote in the caption "Going back to Tokyo with my friend [Andrea Iniesta]."
It is yet unknown if both parties are working towards closing a deal on playing for the Japanese side, but at the moment it can be understood Iniesta is currently in Tokyo.
The former Barcelona midfielder joined the club at age 12, and throughout his 22 years in Spain with the Spaniard side, he won 22 major titles in 674 appearances.
