Premier League: Champions Manchester City Thrash Swansea City 5-0
Premier League champions Manchester City comfortably beat Swansea City 5-0 in their first match since they won the league title.
Swansea were overwhelmingly consumed in the game by the champions which took turns on them at scoring goals.
David Silva netted the opener for City in 12th minutes with a left-footed shot from the six yard box with Sterling's assist before the England international (Sterling) tapped the ball home from David Silva's cross to doubled it in 16th minutes.
Before half time, Sterling made two brilliant attempts but both were saved by Jamie Jackson.
After the break, City returned to their scoring streaks with Dr Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and G. Jesús scoring in 54th, 64th and 88th minutes respectively.
City won the league title after winning 29 matches and losing only two out of 34 games played so far to Manchester United and Liverpool.
