London Marathon 2018: Kenya's Eliud Kipchoge Wins As Mo Farah Finishes Third

Kenyan Eliud Kipchoge has won the London Marathon for the third time as Ethiopia's Shura Kitata Tola finished in second position and Britian's Olympic gold medallist Mo Farah Finished in third position.
Eliud, 33, who won in 2015 and 2016 was closely chased by Shura during the race and crossed the line quickest in 2:04:27sec for hat-trick ahead of the Ethiopian who was just 33 seconds behind him on Sunday.
Mo Farah topples record set by British Steve Jones for the London Marathon 
Mo Farah who came third, set a new British record in 2:06:21sec, breaking previous record set by Steve Jones for the London Marathon.
The British athlete, Sir Farah, in an interview commended Eliud and Shura as he said: "The guys went for it, they were on for world record pace...I went with it and hung in as much as I could."
Vivian Cheruiyot won the marathon for the second time
Also at the event, in women race, Kenya's Vivian Cheruiyot, 34, won the marathon for the second time as she finished first in 2:18:30sec ahead of her compatriot Brigid Kosgei who came second in 2:20:12sec.
