Disney's 'Avenger: Infinity War' Debuts Box Office With $250m, Sets New Record For All-Time Biggest Opening
Walt Disney's 'Avengers: Infinity War' débuted the box office with a record-breaking gross of $250m in the first weekend to be all-time biggest opening after screening at 4,474 locations.
The Anthony and Joe Russo's directed superhero film has upset record set for biggest opening by Star Wars: The Force Awakens which débuted the box office with $247.9m in 2015.
The film which premièred on May 26th (Thursdays), broke Disney's projection of $210m, in just three days of screening, it has already taking in $106m which was just about 'The Force Awaken' performance at the box with $119 after three days it premièred.
In addition to, the Steve Rogers starring film also set new record for global opening with international market gross of $630m, upsetting the previous record holder 'The Fate of the Furious' which débuted the global market with $541.9 million in 2017.
Trailing behind 'Avengers: Infinity War' in the second position at the box office is John Krasinki's directed horror film 'A Quiet Place' which netted $10.6m in its fourth weekend and 'I Feel Pretty' finished third with $8.1m dollars in its second weekend at the box office.
