Commonwealth Games 2018: Abdulazeez Ibrahim Wins Gold Medal For Nigeria In Men's Heavyweight Para Powerlifting
Nigeria's Abdulazeez Ibrahim has won gold medal in Men's Heavyweight Para Powerlifting at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.
Abdulazeez, 35, scored 191.9 points to beat Malaysian Jong Yee Khie and India’s Sachin Chaudhary which won silver and bronze respectively.
This is the Nigerian fourth Games gold medal having lifted 220kg.
Earlier on Tuesday in another category, Ndidi Nwosu won gold medal for Nigeria in Women's Heavyweight Para Powerlifting in Gold Coast, Australia.
Nwosu, 38, scored 110.4 points after clearly lifted 110kg and 120kg in the final.
