Champions League: Salah, Firmino Net A Double As Liverpool Beat AS Roma 5-2
Liverpool dealt well with their Italian counterparts AS Roma which were defeated 5-2 at Anfield in the Champions League semi-final first-leg tie.
Reds have good margin at their advantage to reach the final for the first time in eleven year (2006/2007) as the hosts took turns at scoring against the Italian side before they responded to the lead late into the game.
Mo Salah opened the score-line for Liverpool and he netted a double in 36th and 45th minutes respectively, before Mane Sadio added a goal to the lead as he calmly tapped in a pass Salah from the centre of the box in 56th minutes.
Roberto Firmino widen the lead even further as he calmly amidst defense tapped in a pass from Salah in 61th minutes and later powered the ball through to the net with a header for Liverpool's fifth goal in 69th minutes.
Late into the game, Erin Dzeko found the back of net for Roma, brilliantly controlled an area ball from Naingholan before drilling a shot to the post in 81th minutes, and Diego Perotti converted a penalty conceded by James Milner (Liverpool) for Roma's second goal.
In the second-leg tie, Liverpool would have work to do in Roma which have a pedigree of surprises just as they did against La Liga champions Barcelona which they defeated with a comeback in the quarter final.
