Roger Federer Admits Losing No. 1 Ranking To Rafael Nadal After Miami Open Exit In Second Round

Roger Federer defeat to Thanasi Kokkinakis in the second round of the Miami Open, cost him the world no. 1 ranking, which has now gone to his Spaniard counterpart Rafael Nadal.
The Swiss held the position for nearly two months before the unexcepted loss to the Australian after three sets upset 6-3 3-6 6-7 in the second round on Sunday.
This is the Swiss' second match defeat after losing to Juan Martin del Porto in the final of the Indian Wells.
Speaking about dropping in the ATP world ranking, Federer conceded saying in admission: "I deserve it after this match...Just so bad."
The former world no. 1 blamed the shocking loss to Australian on his poor decision at the game.
"I feel like every time I had chances, something bad happened," he pointed out.
" Wrong decision-making by me, good decision-making by him...Sometimes you have these matches. Sometimes you find a way through. I just couldn't get it done today."
Nadal, who did not participate at the tournament owing yo elbow injury, past Federer in ranking by point after early exit from Miami Open.
