Former President Barack Obama is not just a well to do politician but adequately well enough and made.
Before his emergence into mainstream political, he has been known since his college days at Occidental to very political sound, where he made his first political speech on South Africa calling for disinvestment from the country to stop apartheid.
The father-of-two, who was born to Ann Dunham and Dr. Barack Obama Sr in Honolulu, Hawaii, later move to  Columbia University in New York where he majored in political science.

However, most of his income has come from  wages as a President ($400,000), in the Senate ($42,600 p/a), University of Chicago as Lecturer ($22,726), book deals, copyrights, stock market investments, royalties, and recent deal with Netflix.
