Black Panther Nets $27 Million At The Box Office, Tops For Straight Five Weekends

Marvel's 'Black Panther' has maintained it dominance at the box office, with domestic weekend gross of $27 million screening from 3,834 location, it topped for five straight weekends.
The Chadwick Boseman starring film is the  first film after Avatar to dominate the box office for five straight weekends.
The Cooglar-directed film led in grossing  over two newcomers - Tom Raider (Warner Bros.) and I Can Only Imagine (Ratt Studios) - on their opening weekend, and it has now made $605.4 million domestically and globally earnings reaching $1.1 billion.
However, the Lara Croft starring film 'Tom Raider' followed in second position at the box office, with $23.5 million on it debut weekend screening from 3,854 cinemas, and 'I Can Only Imagine' in third position with gross of $17 million on it debut weekend screening from 1,629 locations.
Ava DuVernay directed film "A Wrinkle In Time" dropped in gross by 50%, making $16.5 million in its second weekend screening from 3,980 locations.
