Raheem Sterling Alleges Manchester City Players Are "Butchered", Aimed At By Other Teams
Pep Guardiola calls for players protection from referees, just got a support from his winger Raheem Sterling, who claimed they have been "butchered" in the pitch by other teams.
The England international in his words, alleged these tackles often happend in "top-flight match" when the losing sides aimed at their opponents rather than the ball.
"Some tackles have been awful," he blames "It's not what I expect in a top-flight match, especially when teams are losing and go out to kick players."
The 23-year-old wanted the officials and referees to see into it, otherwise some of his team-mate and in other teams might miss the Russia 2018 World Cup.
"The referees and officials need to cut these tackles out because some of the players are getter butchered, butchered out there...I do think we need to cut down on that because we've got a World Cup at the end of the year," he said.
Presently, Manchester City's Leroy Sane is out for seven weeks for injury sustained from Cardiff's Joe Bennett's tackle.
