Charlotte Kalla has won the first gold medal at the winter Olympics in cross-country skiing for Sweden.
Kalla, 30, sealed the first position of the 15 kilometres skiing in 40 minutes 44.9 second ahead of Norway's Marit Bjørgen in position and Finland's Krista Parmakoski in third.
Meanwhile, eleven-time Olympic medalist Bjørgen, 37, is now the sport most decorated female winter Olympian of all time after sealing a second position.
