Arianna Fontana won gold for Italy as Team GB's Elise Christie was disappointed to have crashed out when she was soon to move on Yara van Kerhof in a contest for medal at the Women's 500m Speed Skating final.
The Scot was about to go for a takeover on Yara van Kerkhof when there was an accident, leading to her felling on her back, sliding to the side wall.

However, Italian Arianna Fontana finished quickest for gold medal as the Dutch who took down Christie finsihed second to win the silver and Canada's Kim Boutin got bronze.
