Kanye West, Solange Knowles Sued For Sampling A Song
Solange Knowles and Kanye West would have never thought, a piece of their album that did not make any hit would get them nabbed for copywright infringement.
One Leroy Mitchell has filed a lawsuit against both artists, and alleging Kanye's "Everything I am" and Solange's "F**k the Industry" were both a snitch off the song in the '70s "If We Can't Be Lovers" he wrote.
According to sources, Leroy otherwise kniwn as Prince Philip Mitchell claimed the artists' songs were obviously sampling from the song he wrote.
In that effect, he is asking the court to stop the pair from playing the songs any further because he has not granted them permission to do so.
"Everything I Am" is from the track-list of Kanye's 2007 album "Graduation" and was not a hit track.
