FC Barcelona Blame Neymar Jr. For Inflation Of Players Transfer Fee
FC Barcelona still can not get over Neymar Jr. record deal to Paris St-Germain and are blaming the forward for recent surge in transfer fees of players.
The club's vice president Jordi Mestre believed money should have been saved but impact drove everything in another direction.
More so, Mestre called out the club for falling for the Brazilian "cat and mouse" game before the £220m transfer deal was completed, revealed the BBC Sport
"We would have saved a lot of money and a lot of media noise," Mestre narrated his dismay at the deal.
"If he came to us and said 'I want to go', we would have reached an agreement... PSG would have been able to but him for less money and it would have cost us less to sign players."
In August, the 26-year-old Brazilian moved to PSG on a record deal of £220m that is highest in the history of the sport.
