Carabao Cup Final: Manchester City Win After Seemingly Comfortable 3-0 Defeat Over Arsenal
Manchester City have won the League Cup for the third time after beating Arsenal 3-0 at the final Wembley stadium on Sunday.
City, which appeared to be too good for their counterparts Gunners, are lifting their first trophy ahead of the Premier League title which pretty is on the way.
Sergio Aguero led the score-line in 18th minutes, lobbing the ball well over Arsenal's Ospina to score the first goal for City.
After the break, Arsenal trailed deeper behind when de Bruyne let the ball through to the centre of box only for Vincent Kompany to divert it past Ospina for City's second goal in 58th minutes .
The third goal came through David Silva who finished the ball with a low cut shot from Danilo's in 65th minutes.
Speaking after the match, Kompany, talked about how he has behind the scenes encouraging the players and also hope he scored at the final
"Before that game I thought I would score," he said "I'm supporting the lads when I don't play, and when I do play I give everything I have. I'm really proud of the team."
