Black Panther Nets $218 Million, Becomes Fourth All-Time Highest Opening Weekend Gross At Box Office
Disney's Black Panther pulled a strong performance on it ooening weekend over the four-day president holiday, coming on top of with a pace-setting gross of $218 million from domestic market.
Internationally, the Ryan Cooglar directed action packed film netted a gross of $196 million, bringing it opening weekend gross to $361 million globally.
It has upset record set by Deadpool ($152 million) for Presidents Days weekend debut to be the fifth largest three-day domestic debut ($192 million) in history.
In addition, it trails behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Jurassic World, The Avengers to be the fourth in all-time highest weekend opening.
