Alexis Sanchez Reveals Purpose For Joining Manchester United Is "To Win Everything" In An Interview With Thierry Henry
Manchester United newly signed forward Alexis Sanchez, gave details of his reasons for joining the club, in an exclusive interview with former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry.
The interview was held ahead of United 1-0 game loss to Newscatle on Sunday on Sky Sports, where the Chilean shared why he joined the club in spite of it not winning the league in five seasons.
Starting off the interview, Henry asked him if how he started of his football is like his who was saved by football from a difficult neighbourhood he grew up in France.
Sanchez replied saying, "during my childhood, my dream was the same as yours: to be a footballer and to play with the best."
He added "Sometimes in South America that can be harder than here in Europe, because we dream of coming to Europe."
Speaking about the sport changed his life, he said, "Maybe I'd be working in the region where I'm from, doing other things. I think football saves many people. It can go e a life of luxury, but people don't see all the effort that goes in behind the scenes."
"What about Manchester Uuited" Henry asked "It'll be five years since Manchester United last won the title."
Sanchez replied saying, "I think that Manchester United...Since I was young - and I'm not just saying this because I'm here I'm an honest guy and never lie - I think it's the biggest club in England. That's what I think."
And talked about Having to join United in spite of not winning the league title in five seasons he said he mission is "to win".
" I came here to win. I left Arsenal because I wanted to develop and learn as a player, and get to experience a new club. Manchester United are a huge club on the globe stage, I came here to win everything. Otherwise I wouldn't have come here."
