A Court Ordered Akon To Pay $165K For Defaulting On Rental Lease

Whilst Akon's energy business is booming in Africa, he has a huge bill to pay in lawsuit filed against him for non-payment of rented space for his fashion business in the U.S.
The Convict rapper defaulted on his payment for a space he rented in the Empire State Building for his clothing line Aliaune Milano from a leasing company GTFM in 2012.
According to the TMZ, the rapper/energy mogul stopped paying rent since July 2015 and later moved out of the building in 2016
That led the company to file a lawsuit against the Hip Hop artist and now has been ordered to pay $164,786.99 to the agent after a judgement was issued for contempt of the court.
