Sterling Brown, Oprah Winfrey Make History At The 2018 Golden Globes Awards

Sterling K. Brown has reached a new milestone in his acting career, as he made history as the first black actor to win Best Performance by an actor in Drama, for a role he played in NBC series "This Is Us"at the 2018 Golden Globes awards.
The 41-year-old actor who starred as Randall Pearson in the series for which he won the award, trend in history just as Sidney Poitier who won the Golden Globes Best Actor for Ralph Nelson directed   drama/comedy "Lilies in the Field" in 1964
Also, making history alongside the Missouri-born actor at the 75th Gloden Globes, was renowned presenter and producer Oprah Winfrey, who became the first black woman to received the Cecil B DeMille award.
The 63-year-old producer in her acceptance speech, spoke out for women who have been courageous enough to speak out the year of abuse and harassment they have endured. 
"What I know for sure is that speaking your truth is the most powerful tool we al have..." the mogul producer emphasised," she said.
"It's not just a story...I want to gratitude to all the women who have endured years of abuse and assault because they, like my mother, had children to feed and bills to pay and dreams to pursue," she completed her speech.
