Premier League: City's Unbeaten Run Ends With Liverpool In Thrilling 4-3 defeat At Anfield Stadium

Manchester City have enjoyed long unbeaten run up to 20 straight wins, but coming to Liverpool's Anfield stadium put an end to to the run, as the suffered 4-3 defeat to their host team, Reds
The host team seemed to have their form still in shape, in spite of having sold one of their key mid-field players Coutinho Philippe to Spaniard club FC Barcelona for whooping £145 million.
Reds seized an early scoring chance in the first half, as Roberto Firmini set off former Arsenal forward Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who pulled a shot from outside the box to the post in 9th minutes, but late in the first half, City equalized the goal deficit through Leroy Sane in 40th minutes.
After the break, Reds came back stronger into the game, and in between nine minutes, they drilled through three consecutive goals in Roberto Firmini (59th minutes), Sadio Mane (61th minutes) and Mohammad Salah drilled home the ball from 40-yard to an unguarded net in the 68th minutes.
City, having slacked behind with three goals deficit, came back stronger late into the game with attempts to find an equalizer and could only net two consolation goals which came through Bernando Silva in the 84th minutes and Ilkay Gundogan netted the third goal in the 90+1 minutes.
In spite of losing first match since April, City stayed strong in the lead in the table with 67 points as Liverpool moved up to third position with 47 points tallying with Manchester United which are second position and Chelsea fourth.
