Pep Guardiola Calls Premier League Scheduling A "Disaster" For Not Considering Players' Health
The English Premier League may be one of the finest leagues in the world, but its fixture list especially over the festive season, appeared not to be going down well with some of it managers including Manchester City's Pep Guardiola.
The 46-year-old Spaniard whose team is leading league table with 12 points, dubbed the scheduling as a "disaster" which in his opinion does not consider the health implications it has on players.
"If you tell me that technically, physically, it's good for the players: no, it's a disaster,"Pep stressed his reasons for calling out the fixture scheduling.
Two of City's forward players - Gabriel Jesus and Kevin de Bruyne - suffered injuries at their last fixture against Crystal Palace which ended in a draw.
However, City's manager is not alone in the call against yuletide scheduling as relegated West Ham Albion manager David once tendered an official query to EPL over the Christmas fixtures.
