Pele Hospitalised After Collapsing From Exhaustion
Prayers up for football legend Pele, who reportedly collapsed in the early hours of Thursday morning, and was quickly rushed to a medical centre where he is being treated in Brazil.
According to sources, the Brazilian football icon is said to have suffered from exhaustion, and also has medical history of hospitalization for kidney and prostrate condition.
The medical team attending to the 77-year-old Brazilian says he is responding to treatment, but he is condition meant he would not be attending the Football Writer Association dinner in London on Saturday. A statement released by the FAW confirmed this.
"In the early hours of Thursday morning, Pele collapsed and was taken to hospital in Brazil where he has undergone a series of test which appear to pint to severe exhaustion," The statement released by FAW revealed "Thankfully, there is no suggestion of anything more serious than exhaustion."
The iconic former Brazil international is the only football to have won the World Cup three-time in the history of the sport.
