Nigerian Actress Funke Akindele Is Set To Star In Avenger: Infinity War
A renowned Nollywood actress Funke Akindele is set to be cast in Marvel's superhero film Avenger: Infinity War.
The 40-year-old actress' name and picture has already been published on IMDb in the full cast for Avenger, and would be playing as a member of Dora Milaje which is a team of women who serve as bodyguard to Black Panther spiritual leader Wakanda.
The film which is scheduled to be released on May 4th, will have Funke cast alongside her Hollywood counterparts such as Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Don Cheadle, Zoe Saldana, Robert Downey and Chris Pratt.
Funke's acting career took a dynamic turnaround when she starred in 2008 Nollywood movie "Jenifa" as an uneducated comic lady who moved to Lagos from Ibadan in her pursuit of a live of an uptown girl of the metropolitan city.
The film turned out to be a massive hit and was awarded best lead actress at the African Movie Academy Award
