Manchester City Narrowly Escape Bristol City Onslaught From Sergio Aguero's Late Goal (Man. City 2 1 Bristol City)
Manchester City nearly suffered a defeat from Bristol City but Sergio Aguero's late goal secured the much desired win for his side at the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final at Etihad Stadium.
Bristol's Bobby Reid gave his side the lead in the 44th minutes having converted a penalty conceded by City's John Stones.
After the break, Raheem Sterlin (Man. City) set off Kevin De Bruyne for an equaliser which he finished from the centre of the box in the 55th minutes.
Thereafter the equaliser, City made some attempts to get a second especially that from Sterling and Ilkay Gundogan until Bernardo Silva's cross got through to Aguero who headed in the winning goal late in the 90th+2 minutes.
The Championship side could not do today, what they did to Manchester United which they beat 2-1 at the knock out stage in December, and now would host Manchester City in the second leg of the Carabao Cup on January 23rd.
