Jose Mourinho Extends Contract With Manchester United Until 2020
Jose Mourinho has signed to contract extension with Manchester United until 2020 having an option for further extension by a year.
The 54-year-old Portuguese previous three years deal he signed with the club has just a year to elapse when he moved to the club from Chelsea in May, 2016.
Speaking about his contract extension in press conference on Thursday, the Portuguese said the club knew he is the "right manager" for the job and revealed his intention to "create" a situation that allows for "brilliant and successful future" of the club.
"[Manchester United] feel and trust that I am the right manager for this great club for the foreseeable future...We are creating the condition for a brilliant and successful future for Manchester United," he said.
United are currently second in the Premier League behind leading side Manchester City, and are still in the English FA Cup and Champions League.
