FA Cup: Liverpool Loss First Match in Nine Months As Reds Suffer 2-3 Defeat To West Brom Albion
Liverpool suffered first home defeat since April last year to West Brom Albion which won the match in a comeback, and have progressed to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Reds dominated the rather chaotic match which was marred by Joel Matic's own-goal on the brink of half-time, and failure of Roberto Firmino to convert a penalty gave the day away to Albion.
In a comeback after Firmino had led Liverpool to an opening goal in the 5th minutes, Albion's Jay Rodriguez pulled through an equalizer in 7th minutes and doubled the lead in11th minutes with an assist from Kieran Gibbs, and on the brink of half-time Reds' Joel Matic scored own-goal.
Liverpool got stronger into the match and Mohammed Salah scored second goal in the 78th minutes but couldn't get an equaliser until full time.
