Will Smith's "Bright" To Premiere On Netflix As It Plans To Expand On Programming
Netflix is making big moves at becoming a major player in the entertainment industry, and are going after Will Smith's movie "Bright" as one of the films to premiere not in the cinemas but available to cinema-goers on it TV network.
The online TV network has made a budget of $8 billion to expand on programming project which will include original scripted series, feature films, anime projects and stand-up specials, and has hired one Hollywood's top writers Jenji Kohan, according to the Bloomberg.
To that effect, it has picked Will Smith's "Bright" as one of the first films to kick off with on it budget to expand of it programming.
Brine Unkeless who is one of the producers of the film, confirmed the development on his meeting with Netflix saying "It's exciting to be on the front lines of the place that feels like the future."
It is also revealed that an agreement have been reached with Will Smith on doing a sequel of the film with Netflix.
