Tottenham's Harry Kane Becomes Europe's Top Scorer, Paases Allan Shearer's EPL Record For Goals

Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane passed record set by Alan Shearer in Premier League record for goals in a calendar year after scoring his 39th goal in their 5-2 match win over Southampton on Boxing Day.
The England international opened the score-line in the 22nd minutes, and later completed his goal counts for the day with a hat-trick, after doubling the lead in 39th minutes and closing his goal counts for the year with a fifth goal for his side in 67th minutes.
Not only has the 24-year-old England international upturned record set by Shearer, but also turned  Europe's top scorer for the year 2017 after beating Barcelona forward Lionel Messi in goals so far in the year.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino after the match, praised the forward and described him as "great professional and a good example."
"It doesn't surprised us because every day we see how he works, his determination, how professional he is," the Argentine coach said "He's a very talented player...great professional and a good example for everybody, not just his goal."
