Mo Farah Wins BBC Sport Personality of the Year Award

Four-time Olympic gold medallist  Mo Farah won the BBC Sport Personality Award of the year 2017 at Echo Arena, Liverpool on Sunday.
The 34-year-old Brit beat other contenders like superbike champion Jonathan Rea, Paralympic champion Jonnie Peacock and boxing champion Anthony Joshua in votes to be the first long-distance runner to win the award since 2002.
The three-time world gold medallist was actually at the ceremony and was linked up with via a video but his stepdaughter Rhianna received the award on his behave.
Speaking after the show on winning the award, Mo talked about how winning the award came as a surprise to him in a video.
"It's pretty amazing and hard to think about. I didn't imagine I was ever going to win this," he said emotionally "but anything can happen. If you work hard you can achieve your dreams."
