Floyd Mayweather Claims UFC Offered Him $1 Billion Deal For Combat Sport
Retired world boxing champion Floyd Mayweather claimed he is got an offer of about £745 million ($1 billion) by the UFC to make a 'comeback' from retirement to combat sport.
Mayweather is a 15-time WBC title holder and has not been known to do cage fighting before, but his challenger Conor McGregor once praised his him for his fighting skill and believed he can make waves in cage fighting.
The 40-year-old revealed his intentions to 'come back' to fighting and this time combat for "three or four-fight deal" over the offer in a video uploaded on FightHype.com
"They just called me not too long ago and asked me to come back. I can come right back. If I want to, I can come right back to the UFC. I can go fight in the Octagon – I can go and do a three or four-fight deal in the Octagon and make $1 billion."
The American boxing champion won his fight against the UFC fighter McGregor in August and has since announced his retirement from the sport.
