"Creed 2" Gets Steven Caple Jr. As New Director

Steven Caple Jr. reportedly has been appointed as the new director for sequel of Ryan Coogler's directed film "Creed".
Initially, Sylvester Stallone was to direct the sequel, but plans soon changed to have the 71-year-old as the writer of the sequel instead while Steven carries on with the role of the director.
The reasons for his appointment was based on his impressive job done on his debut film  "The Land" in 2016, revealed the Variety
In a statement released by Stallone, he praised the brilliance of Steven at filmmaking and maintain Michael B. Jordan would deliver on his role under him.
“The character of Adonis Creed reflects this generation and its challenges. I believe it’s important for the director to also be a part of this generation like I was in mine, to make the story as relatable as possible. We are extremely lucky to have the talented young filmmaker Steven Caple Jr. step up and accept the role of director. I am confident that he and Michael B. Jordan will hit it out of the park!”
Michael Jordan would be cast in the same as Adonis (Creed) Johnson son of boxing champion Apollo Creed, and  Dolph Lundgren would maintain his role as Russian behemoth drago.
