Thor: Ragnarok Tops Box Office Weekend Grossing With $122 Million To Become Fourth Largest-Debut of the Year
Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok debut with the highest grossing over the weekend, with domestic earning of $122 million screening at 4080 location, it surpassed previous two Thors opening weekend grossing.
Ragnarok, prior to it debut weekend, did not fall short of expectations despite not given promotion it should, but hauled it predecessors in grossing, Thor in 2011 and Thor: The Dark World in 2013 which grossed $65.7 million and $85.7 million respectively on their opening weekend.
Having said that. The Taika Waititi directed film presently becomes fourth highest debut of the year and trailed behind It ($123.4 million), Guardian of the Galaxy ($146.5 million) and year largest-debut Beauty and the Beast with $174.8 million.
