Jay-Z To Be Honoured With Grammy Salute to Industry Icons Award At The 2018 Event

What Grammy intended for Jay-Z at its 2018 award event has been announced while the list of nominees for the 2018 Grammy Awards remained unreleased.
The Brooklyn-born rapper and business magnate will be taking home Grammy Salute to Industry Icons Award at the 2018 event.
This was made known following a statement released by the President and CEO of the Recording Awards Neil Portnow, which stated that the Roc Nation/Tidal owner would receive the award for his impact in the industry.
"We are absolutely thrilled and delighted to honour Jay with this year's Grammy Salute to Industry  Icons Award," he said.
When went further to praise the iconic rapper for his difference he has been able to made in the industry since he began his career.
"His contribution as an industry trailblazer and music visionary only began to touch on the tremendous impact he's made both in music industry and beyond...Also embodies the vibrant spirit of New York and we couldn't imagine a more fitting honoree as we return to Manhattan for this year's Grammy Award," he completed his statement.
This year, the father-of-three was inducted into the Songwriter Hall of Fame as the first rap artist to attain such height.
