Fmr. President Barack Obama Joins Veterans At Public Housing Revitalization Project

 
Every country owe their freedom and security to the service of individuals, who have served it patriotically to its highest form, and are often remembered on certain day by their leaders and fellow citizens.
On Friday, former President Barack Obama joined a team of veteran volunteers in carrying out revitalizing a public housing Langston Terrace in Northeast D.C.  
This was made this known following picture update on his social media accounts, and a tweet of the picture above with a caption that reads as: "Today, we honour those who have honoured our country with its highest form of service."
At the public housing, alongside with veterans, he got involved in maintenance work on the site, following a  picture posted by the Obama Foundation group to it Facebook page.

"Yesterday, I dropped by a service project in Northeast D.C., where a group of veterans were fixing up a public housing project. Just think about that for a moment. On a day dedicated to honouring their sacrifice, these veterans chose to honour their fellow citizens. They chose to roll up their sleeves and ask, “Now, what else can I do?” the page status reads.
He went further in his words to praise every veterans for service rendered to their country "its highest form of service".
