Wayne Rooney's Equalizer Against Brighton&Hove Turns The Corner For Ronald Koeman
Everton's 1-1 draw with Brighton and Hove from Wayne Rooney's goal from the spot, didn't just rescue the team from defeat, but has helped saved his manager Ronald Koeman from undue pressure.
The 54-year-old has been under pressure having his team sitting near EPL table bottom, and that he felt intense when Anthony Knockaert shot the home side ahead in 82nd minutes until ex Manchester United forward converted a penalty in 90th mins on Sunday.
Koeman dismissed any threats on his job after the draw with Brighton&Hove, and his team's confidence would improve after the match.
"We know we can play better," he said "We at least deserve a point...Let's hope that point gives the boys a little bit of confidence."
Everton are presently in 16th position and Koeman has been facing criticism for the team's performance so far.
