Roger Federer Beats Rafael Nadal to Claim His Second Shanghai Rolex Masters Title
Roger Federer took the match head on, and beat his counterpart and world no. 1 Rafael Nadal in straight two set 6-4 6-3 at the Shanghai Masters final.
The Swiss ace claimed his sixth title and fourth match win against Nadal this season within 72 minutes.
Speaking after the match, the 19-time Grand Slam winner, Federer, talked about his preparedness for next tournament at the London O2 Arena in November.
"I'll go home and we will work out where I play next, Basel, Paris, one of those or none, before I go to London, which is my priority.
"World number one I don't think will happen but if I play like this maybe I'll get close, who knows?" he said.
Having won his fifth win over Nadal, that brought the head-to-head count between the pair to 23:15, of which the Spaniard yet has most wins.
