Champions League: Pep Guardiola Describes Napoli As "An Exceptional Team"
Manchester City's manager Pep Guardiola, has described his team's encounter with Serie A side Napoli as "one of the best teams" he has ever played against in his profession.
To the 46-year-old Spaniard manager, the Serie A league team has been one of the sides he has talked about as one of the best in Europe. Thus, winning the Italian side on Tuesday in Champions League Group stage match made him happy.
"They are one of the best teams I have ever faced as a professional, as a player, as a trainer," he admitted speaking after the match.
"That is why I am so proud with what we have done. You cannot beat Napoli - it is impossible to beat them, if you do not make a good performance and we did it. That is why I am so happy..."I didn't expect to control for 90 minutes because Napoli are an exceptional team," he confessed.
On Tuesday, Raheed Sterling opened the score-line in 9th minutes before Gabriel Jesus doubled the lead in13th for City.
Napoli came on strong into the match after half an hour into the match but couldn't find a goal until 73rd minutes through Amadou Diwara.
