Neymar Jr. Asks UEFA For FC Barcelona Expulsion From CL Over Unpaid Bonus Of £23 Million
Bonus payment discrepancies between Neymar Jr. and his old team FC Barcelona, have taking a new dimension, as the Paris St. Germain's striker is asking for Spaniard club expulsion from the Champions league.
The 25-year-old moved from the Catalan club to the French side PSG on a world record deal of £198 million, and his old club which was meant to pay loyalty bonus of £23 million to the Brazil international declined making the payment, Sky Sports revealed.
Barca blamed the ace for their decision because they required of him the repayment of contract renewal bonus paid to him by the club before moving over to the French club.
Neymar has noe forwarded a letter to UEFA over his row with Barca, calling on the body to expel the Catalan club out of Champions League, for not complying to loyalty bonus payment as stipulated in their contract.
The matter is currently being treated as the footballing body has announced it has opened an investigation panel to look into it.
