Lewis Hamilton After 10 Years of Effort, Wins First-Ever Suzuka Pole At Japanese GP
Lewis Hamilton showed his Ferrari counterpart Sebastian Vettel the definition of pace, and upturned Michael Schumacher's record pole pace, to claim his first-ever Suzuka pole at the Japanese GP.
The Mercedes driver dominated the race all the way, and finished quickest at record setting 1:27,319 which broke pole lap time 1:28.954 set by Michael Schumacher.
Meanwhile, Sebastian did gave his best, but Hamilton who have been making am effort for 10 years to win at pole at Suzuka, left him stunned with dominating pace off from the start.
"It's been 10 years trying to get that pole position," Hamilton admitted "I was very much on it. I didn't make one mistake and each lap got better and better."
