Barack Obama, Jimmy Kimmel React to Las Vegas Mass Shooting
The United States was bedevilled by the worst mass shooting in it history, as a 64-year-old opened fired at a crowd gathering at a music festival in Las Vegas, on Sunday.
The shooting left 58 people killed on the spot and well over 200 in critical condition which many have described as the deadliest mass shooting in the United States.
On Monday, the late night show host Jimmy Kimmel reacted to the shooting incident which happened in his hometown, and couldn't hide his emotion on his TV programme Jimmy Kimmel Live, as he almost burst into tears.
"Here we are again in the aftermath of another terrible, inexplicable, shocking and painful tragedy. This time in Las Vegas, which happens to be my home town," he emotionally expressed his grieve.
"Of course, we pray for the victims—and for their families and friends and we wonder why, even though there's probably no way to ever know why a human being would do something like this to other human beings who were at a concert having fun, listening to music," he said.
The 44th President of the United States Barack Obama, has also reacted to the horrific mass shooting incident, describing it as "senseless" with a tweet he posted to his social media account.
Michelle & I are praying for the victims in Las Vegas. Our thoughts are with their families & everyone enduring another senseless tragedy," he tweeted.
Famous artists including British pop singer Harry Style, have been reacting to the monstrous shooting that has left many families devastated.
