Barack and Michelle Obama to Get Official Portraits From Two Renowned Artists

Getting to paint a portrait of high profile individuals is remarkable to do for a painter, not to mention when it is one that involves painting a former elected office holder of the United States' top job.
President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle will both be getting official portraits from a pair of renowned painters, whose collection of works are iconic and justice seeking oriented.

The Complex revealed the pair as New York-based Kehinde Wiley and Los Angeles-born Amy Sherald, both have been contacted to do a painting of the former First couple - the former would work on President Barack Obama and the later would do that of the former FLOTUS Michelle.

Wiley is known to draw his inspirations from hip hop and have done portraits of some high profile  artist such as  Swizz Beatz, Ice T, LL Cool J and some others, while collections Sherald's works have been seen in locations such as The United States Embassy in Dakar, Senegal and some others.
