Rio Ferdinand Changes Career, Sets to Become Professional Boxer

Former England international and Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand, is already undergoing intense training, as he's set to change career to a professional boxer.
This was made known at a press conference given by the ex-England footballer, where he revealed his new career, and assured the boxing world and his football fans alike, of his committed to the career he's taking up.

The 38-year-old who is set to take up challenge for series of fight soon, reported is currently connected with online bookmaker Betfair for his 'Defender to Contender' boxing project, and would  British Boxing Board of Control licence.
"When Betfair approached me about the Defender to Contender challenge, the chance to prove myself in a new sport was a real draw," he revealed about plans to taking up fights.
 
Speaking about his new career, the ex-footballer revealed he since had a passion for the sport and he would like to make it a reality.
“Boxing is an amazing sport for the mind and the body. I have always had a passion for it and this challenge is the perfect opportunity to show people what’s possible.
It’s a challenge I’m not taking lightly, clearly not everyone can become a professional boxer, but with the team of experts Betfair are putting together and the drive I have to succeed, anything is possible.”
