Whoopi Goldberg To Star As Drug Lord In "Ghetto Plainsman"
Legendary actress Whoopi Goldberg will join other stars such as Hill Harper, in an upcoming movie by Carlton Jordan "Ghetto Plainsman" which is a story according to a novel written by Jarid Manos.
Goldberg will be cast as a drug lord heading the operations of a character calls Marcus, who according to The Hollywood Reporter is a resident in the City in the 1980-90s who has issues with prostitution and drugs "dealing with identity and self-hatred" crisis.
The idea about the movie came up at a conference where the book author Jarid met the film co-writer Carlton, who having bought the book and asked him if that could be made into a movies.
"I'd discovered the book after filming the author Jarid Manos, at a conference he was speaking. I bought the book and immediate told him I wanted to make it into a film," Carlton said.
