Political Figures, Celebrities and Others Donate Towards Helping Hurricane Harvey Displaced Victims In Houston, Texas
Political figures, celebrities and others alike from former President Barack Obama, JJ Watt, Beyoncé, Sean Lowe, Kevin Hart, Hillary Duff and many more, are not holding back their good wishes, prayers and making donations to help flood victims in the area of Houston, Texas.
The downpour from Hurricane Harvey have left many residents in Texas homeless with eight killed and scores injures, and the torrential rain is expected to continue for more days.
The 44th President of the United States Barack Obama in his tweet, sent his good wishes to the affected people and those who volunteered to help evacuate trapped persons.
"Thanks you to all the first responders and people helping each others out. That's what we do as Americans," he wrote with a link on how to help with donation to the American Red Cross.
The Bachelor's star Sean Lowe, also sent his good wishes to the city he grew up in, with a picture update on his Instagram account and captioned saying:
"Today I had the chance to do what I could to help some people in the Houston area. I couldn't believe the devastation. My heart broke for all the elderly who are immobile and the mothers trapped in their homes with young babies. But I was encouraged by the selflessness of so many Texan who came to help where they could. definitely a day i'll never forget."
R&B sensation Beyoncé K. Cater having made donations of an amount undisclosed according to sources, also sent her heartfelt prayer to the people affected by the flooding in Texas with a picture update on Instagram.
He posted a video on Twitter asking people to join in the donating for the flood victims and captioned he tweet with a link as: Recovery effort from Hurricane Harvey will be massive. We must come together to help rebuild our communities. YouCaring.com/JJwatt"
The Kardashians also joined in to contribute towards helping displaced people of Houston, Texas and according to sources, the family dole out $500,000 to the Red Cross and the Salvation Army.
The flood has left thousands of people displaced and many injuries as the Houston area is currently under water.
