Wimbledon 2017: Roger Federer Wins Historic Eighth Wimbledon Title After Beaten Marin Cilic

Roger Federer turned out to be the first to win the tournament eight times and extending his Grand Slam title counts, as he trails behind Bjorn Borg to be the first man to win the title without losing a set sinceb1975.
Federer secured his nineteenth Grand Slam title after beaten his Croatian counterpart Marin Cilic at the final of the Wimbledon 2017.
The Swiss showed his ruthless side in the court as he kept the heat on while Marin nursed some sort distress and slumped into defeat to the title winner after three sets by 6-3 6-1 6-4.
The Croatian showed some level of resistance during the first set but things change from the second set on and culminated in easing through for Swiss.
Cilic appeared to suffered an injury to his feet during the match and that offset his emotion, and he tried making a comeback into the match at the third set but Federer kept the smashing on to the last second of the contest which lasted for one hour and 41 minutes.

 Federer acknowledge the challenges to suffering physical difficulties during a contact saying: "It is cruel sometimes. But Marin fought well and is a hero, so congratulations on a wonderful tournament."
